GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Didactic Workshop Days take place as part of week-long teaching clinics in Maine, Vermont and NYC. You are welcome at the workshop as a single event or as part of the clinical week. The study of the classics is rooted in the treatment of patients and the ethics of medical practice. Laura weaves lecture, questions, work with the Classics and clinical stories to awaken the inspiration and the disciplines to be able to work at the level of the 5 Spirits.  She teaches theory of the Officials and Channels, the energetics of points/protocols and the relationship of true and xie qi. She works with the group of students actively inside of the patient/practitioner relationship. Ethics of practice are emphasized and challenged, to develop greater stability and depth of service. 

  • What is meant by the level of disease, the potential for health?

  • What is meant by diagnosing and then treating at the level of the spirit?

  • How do we become instruments of this discipline?

  • How does one train in a tradition of medicine that works in the miracle of authenticity? When potential and pathology are addressed at the same point?

Part of every workshop is interactive, practicing our capacity to relate with each other via the spirits and the 5 energetics, how to become instruments of the causative factor at the level of the Body, Mind and Spirit. The group is both practitioner and patient as the energetics come alive.  Laura commonly uses the last 2 hours of the day for active clinical treatment, utilizing the teaching of the day.  NCCAOM approved PDA's are offered for these Workshop Days (including 2 pda's for ethics requirements.)

 “The Curriculum of the Causative Factor: Treating the Physician”

CONTENT: Please join us for deep dive into the treatment of the Causative Factor! 1 day of experiential learning in diagnosis and treatment planning in the cf, one practitioner at a time. We will treat individual practitioners through the course of the workshop. Interactive teaching will accompany each treatment. This workshop is designed to both support practitioners with treatment (after a long pause for most) and also provide a dynamic learning day inside the practitioner/patient relationship as so many are beginning to return to their practices.
